Freight & logistics
Logistics, legible at a glance
A freight operator with dense, data-heavy screens. The work was mostly subtraction: a stricter grid, a real type scale, and colour that means something.

Operations console — live freight
The problem
Operators read the same screens for eight hours a day. Every status used a different colour convention, and nothing in the interface told them where to look first.
What we did
01
Reduced the palette to one accent and a monochromatic scale, so colour marks exception rather than decoration.
02
Set a four-step type scale and held every screen to it.
03
Rebuilt the tables around scanning: aligned numerals, sticky context, no truncation of the field people actually read.
Outcome
- 100/100
- Lighthouse across all four categories, measured at launch
- AA
- WCAG 2.2 conformance, verified
- 4
- Type sizes, down from nineteen
